What are the Official Rules for the Dempster’s® - Win a Smartwatch Contest?

*NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Subject to Official Rules at www.DempstersGrainsContest.ca. Contest open to all residents of Canada, except Quebec who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry. Contest starts Monday, January 15, 2024 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET). TO ENTER, buy one (1) participating Dempster’s whole grains bread product. Snap a photo of the receipt. Upload photo to www.DempstersGrainsContest.ca and follow the instructions. Receipt validation and skill testing question is required to win. Participating Products are subject to availability. Limit of one (1) entry per validated receipt. There are eight (8) Prizes to be won, one per week, and each Prize consists of a CAD $400 Visa gift card having a retail value of CAD $400, and the total retail value of all Prizes is $3,200.00 CDN. The Visa gift card may be used towards the purchase of any goods or services from merchants who accept Visa gift card as payment and is subject to the Visa gift card terms and conditions.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY entry, write a unique 50-word essay on why you enjoy eating Dempster’s products, and hand print your name, complete mailing address, e-mail address, phone number and birth date on an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper, and mail to the following address, postmarked and received by Monday, March 11, 2024: Dempster’s-Win a Smartwatch Contest, No Purchase Entry, 39 Charterhouse Crescent London, ON N5W 5V3. Odds of winning depend on number of entries received during each weekly period. Limit of one (1) Prize per person or household. Selection of potential prize winner will occur by the following process: On every Tuesday, starting January 23, 2024 at approximately 10:00 a.m. (ET) for the duration of the Contest, a computerized random draw will be conducted from the total entries received up to the specific Weekly Draw Period End Date. All entries received during the Weekly Draw Period will remain eligible for all remaining Weekly Draw Periods. Entries must be received before the Weekly End Date to be eligible for the Prize for that Weekly Draw Period.

What is required for entry?
You will be required to provide your first and last name, mailing address with postal code, e-mail address, telephone number, and date of birth. You will also need to provide a photo or scan of a single receipt, clearly showing the participating store name, the date and time of transaction, and at least the one (1) participating product that has been purchased during the contest period. Your receipt MUST have one of the participating products on that receipt to be a valid receipt.
What is the Weekly Prize?
The weekly prize is a $400 Visa Gift card that you can use towards the purchase of the Smartwatch of your choice. The prize is not an actual Smartwatch itself. This is so you can pick the Smartwatch that best fits your lifestyle and the rest of your devices (iOS, Android, watchOS, Other). The Visa gift card may be used towards the purchase of any goods or services from merchants who accept Visa gift card as payment and is subject to the Visa gift card terms and conditions.
Why is the Prize not an Actual Smartwatch?
There are many decisions that go into purchasing a Smartwatch that are unique to each person. Considerations like compatibility with your other devices, if features like GPS or Fall detection are important to your usage - and more - all go into choosing the right Smartwatch for your specific lifestyle. By awarding you a $400 Visa gift card, you can choose the Smartwatch that is right for you. The Visa gift card may be used towards the purchase of any goods or services from merchants who accept Visa gift card as payment and is subject to the Visa gift card terms and conditions.
What is the process for entry and claiming the Weekly Prize?
You will be required to supply your contact information, along with a copy of your receipt showing participating product purchase. At the end of each Weekly Draw Period, a potential winner’s name will be selected. You are not considered an official winner until; your Receipt (or Essay for Mail-In entry) has been validated and verified: you have been contacted by phone and answered a mathematical skill-testing question; you have signed and returned a completed Declaration and Release form and provided supporting ID to prove your identity. You MUST retain your original receipt in case we need to validate it. Once all documentation has been received and validated the Visa gift cards will be sent to the approved winner.
Is there a limit to how many Weekly Prizes I can get during the Contest Period?
There is a limit of one (1) Weekly Prize per person or household that begins Monday, January 15, 2024 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET).

There is a limit of one (1) entry per validated Receipt and unlimited online entries each with a validated Receipt per person. There is a limit of one (1) No Purchase entry per person per Weekly Draw Period. All Online or No Purchase entries received during the Weekly Promotion Period will remain eligible for all remaining Weekly Draw Periods. Entries must be received before the Weekly End Date to be eligible for the Prize for that Weekly Draw Period.
If I’m a winner how long will it take to get my Prize?
There are 8 Weekly Prizes of $400 worth in Visa gift cards available to be won, each being awarded every Tuesday starting January 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. (ET) for the duration of the Contest Period. Please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery from the end of the Contest Period.
How long do I have to submit my receipt?
The Dempster’s - Win a Smartwatch website closes Sunday, March 10, 2024. ET and receipts can no longer be submitted after the website closes.
